Founded on February 21st, 2024, the Center for Budget and Macroeconomic Transparency (CBMT) emerged as a beacon of transparency and accountability within The Gambia’s economic landscape. With a commitment to fostering inclusive budgeting and economic development, CBMT was established as a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting budget and macroeconomic research and transparency as well as proactive citizen engagement in budget processes and macroeconomic structures across the nation.

Since its inception, CBMT has been steadfast in its mission to increase awareness, promote effective public participation in budgetary and macroeconomic affairs as well as inclusive growth.
